Merchandise and Communications Assistant
Joseph Weche is an aspiring and upcoming graphic designer. He joined TARA in August 2008 as a volunteer at the 'Dawn of Imagination' exhibition at the Nairobi National Museum, and is now the Merchandise and Communications Assistant at TARA. His duties include updating the TARA website and mailing list, contact maintenance, merchandise stock taking, inventory management, liaising with TARA merchandise outlets, and file management. He speaks fluent English, Kiswahili, Lughya and is Knowledgeable in French. He is currently looking to further his studies in Mass Communication.
Accounts Assistant
John Gitau joins TARA as an accounts assistant starting this January 2010, reporting to the Finance Manager. John Gitau who holds CPA SEC 3 and computer hardware and software certificates is pursuing CPA SEC4. He speaks English and Kiswahili.
Designer
Richard Wachara is a graphic designer who recently joined TARA on March 2010.He has Collage diplomas in art and design, photography, and graphics and a passion for all things design related. When he is not at work he can be found reading design and typography books, keeping up with the latest design news on the Internet, or dabbling with new ideas as the nature of design and new technology is always evolving. His hobbies include airsofting, playing video games, dabbling in photography and trying various arts and crafts.
Manager of the D.I.C (Digital Imaging Center)
Reuben Chelimo was born in Kabarnet town. He holds a BSc degree in Information Sciences from Moi University, and between 2004 and 2006, worked with Verve K.O. as a Data Conversion and Document Indexing Teamleader. He was in charge of EABL and TARA digitisation projects between 2005 and 2006, and has authored a whitepaper for TARA: Managing a Slide Digitization Project. Reuben can read, write and speak fluent English, Swahili and Kalenjin; he is currently pursuing French language courses at the Alliance Française in Nairobi.
D.I.C Assistant
Jennifer Karamburi was born in Meru district, where she attained her primary and secondary education. She joined TARA in June 2004, and is currently working in the Digital Archive. Jennifer is adept in programmes like Microsoft Word, Photoshop and PageMaker, and can communicate in Swahili, English, Meru and Kikuyu.
