Staff Changes TARA is pleased
to announce recent changes to staff at its headquarters.
Evan Maina
holds a BA Degree in Archaeology and Sociology from
the University of Nairobi. He joined TARA as an
intern in July 2008, working in TARA's Documentation
and Information Centre/Archives. He was recruited
in August 2009 as a Database Operator, and is currently
updating the main rock art database. Evan can read,
write and speak in English, Swahili and Kikuyu.
Anthony Odera
joined TARA in October 2009 as an intern in Community
Projects and acts as a liaison between the Kakapel
Community Rock Art project and TARA regarding the
developments of the Community Cultural Centre. Anthony
has a keen interest in gaining more exposure and
experience in the field of culture, and especially
rock art.
Martin Sande
has been a volunteer with TARA as the Head Attendant
at 'The Dawn of Imagination' exhibition since March
2008. In September 2009 he was employed on full-time
basis as the Community Project and Outreach Assistant.
Martin, who holds a Diploma in Tour Guiding and
Administration and an ICDL Certificate, is currently
pursuing a Diploma course in Community Development.
He speaks English, Swahili and understands some
Japanese and Italian.
