Terry Little, Chief Operations Officer, and Martin Sande, Community Projects Assistant, attended a breakfast meeting at Serena Hotel, Nairobi, on 16 December 2009, organised by KECOBAT, (Kenya Community based Tourism Network). Taiko Lemayian, KECOBAT Executive Director, led the discussions. Stakeholders talked about development of Homestays (including guidelines and standards) as an alternative tourism product - one that has great potential to directly benefit communities throughout Kenya. This type of product complements TARA's efforts to develop rock art tourism in areas with limited options for overnight visitors.
