On 3rd September 2008, the MoU between TARA and UNESCO for the promotion of African Rock Art was finalized. This agreement enters into force immediately and will remain in force for a period of three years (until September 2011). TARA looks forward to cooperating with UNESCO towards the promotion of this "priceless and irreplaceable heritage of Africa" (Kofi Anan). This agreement will go a long way in strengthening TARA's position both in Africa and internationally, and in leveraging new partnerships and opportunities.
