TARA receives grant from EPA - School of African Heritage

On the basis of study which EPA carried out between 1998 and 2004 on "School - Museum" relations and on the management capacity of the museums, the School for African Heritage (EPA - Ecole du Patrimoine Africain) has initiated a new programme: "Museums in the Service of Development" (Msd). Msd is a programme in support of the development of museums and related institutions so that they may become important actors in the educational, cultural, social and economic life in Africa.

The programme mainly takes the form of call for projects. TARA's proposal, "Animating the Rock Art Exhibition at Nairobi National Museum" was selected for funding by EPA at the 3rd session of the international experts committee which sat in July 2008.

The programme, which runs from 2007-2010, has received funding from FSP (Priority Solidarity Funds) of the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
