David Coulson, MBE
David Coulson serves as TARA’s Executive Chairman and is an internationally recognised photographer and author of many books, as well as articles about Africa’s cultural history and landscapes. Coulson’s photographs have been exhibited in London, Rio de Janeiro, Johannesburg, Washington District of Columbia, Nairobi and Vancouver. Coulson is a long-standing Fellow of London’s Royal Geographical Society.
Alec Campbell
Alec Campbell was educated in England and spent most of his working life in Botswana. After Independence, he became Director of the Department of Wildlife and National Parks, and also Founder and first Director of the National Museums of Botswana, which he ran for 25 years. Campbell was the author of many books and papers on Botswana’s history, archaeology, wildlife, and environment. Alec Campbell died on November 24, 2012 at his home in Botswana. He was 80 years old.
Thomas Hill
Thomas Hill has been recognised internationally for his leadership in the development and growth of interactive marketing, communication and new media. He is a co-founder and Chairman Emeritus of The Institute of Human Origins, a scientific research organisation dedicated to the study of human evolution.
Hill is also a Founding Trustee of the Pan-African Conservation Trust, a member of the Explorers Club (New York), and a Fellow of Royal Geographical Society (London). He now divides his time between New York and Kenya.
Bruce Ludwig
Bruce Ludwig is Los Angeles-based philanthropist and businessman who has supported numerous initiatives and projects connected mainly with ancient history and culture, especially in Egypt and Kenya. Ludwig is a member of the Board of Trustees of the National Georgraphic Society in Washington, DC, as well as being a Fellow of London’s Royal Geographical Society, and a member of the Explorers Club (New York).
