Northern Niger Rock Art Safari

TARA CEO and founder David Coulson led another Rock Art Safari to northern Niger in February 2022 with a group of around 11 travellers, mainly from Kenya.

The principal focus of the expedition was Niger’s Air Mountains in the north of the country, in the Sahara Desert.

Here the group saw many of the ancient wonders of this wild and remote region, including a 7,000 year old life-size carving of two giraffes, proclaimed some years ago as one of the Wonders of the Ancient World.
